ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE
Updated: May 13, 2020

Over-use and misuse of antibiotics in animals and humans is contributing to the rising threat of antibiotic resistance.
According to the World Health Organization:
Antibiotics are medicines used to prevent and treat bacterial infections. Antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria change in response to the use of these medicines.
Without urgent action, we are heading for a post-antibiotic era, in which common infections and minor injuries can once again kill.

Look into the human actions that lead to antibiotic resistance and consider ways in which we could address this problem individually and collectively.
What kind of actions could you take to steer our community in a better direction?
Look at the possible interplays between the Climate, Ecological Coronavirus and Antibiotic Resistance crises and try to imagine the kind of situations we are expecting to see in the future, if present trends continue.
