As a result of a worldwide coronavirus pandemic, the people in the United States and around the world have changed their behavior drastically. Schools were cancelled, people work from home, restaurants and bars are closed, and all public gatherings of 10 or more people are cancelled. In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, people are willing to mobilize their efforts in warlike fashion against the virus.

Imagine that our world has the same response to save us from the doom and effects of global warming that we are experiencing today.  It is 2021, and the people all around the world have changed their behavior to address a much larger threat facing civilization: global warming.  Write a letter to your local leaders explaining how your city would operate without burning fossil fuels. How does a 100% sustainable city operate?

Tips:  As you consider this question, look up other cities that are 100% sustainable and also be creative!
